The Fuqua Annual Fund Chair is responsible for developing and maintaining active and meaningful relationships with your classmates and to encourage classmate giving and/or increase their support of The Fuqua Annual Fund between reunion cycles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contact classmates throughout the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) to encourage Annual Fund participation.
  • Working with your Fuqua Annual Fund staff liaison to draft two Annual Fund Chair solicitations per fiscal year to be sent to classmates.
  • Make a gift or a pledge to The Fuqua Annual Fund at the start of the fiscal year before asking classmates to do so.
  • Establish class participation and giving goals for The Fuqua Annual Fund with the support and guidance of your Annual Fund staff liaison.
  • Communicate any changes in biographical information of your classmates to your Annual Fund staff liaison. 
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with your Fuqua Annual Fund staff liaison.
  • Be a resource for the Development & Alumni Relations office in recruiting volunteers for various committees and special events.
  • Work with your Annual Fund staff liaison to identify a successor at the end of your term.
  • Your commitment as an Annual Fund Chair will last until your next reunion (at which time we will re-evaluate if you want to continue in this role).

Qualifications

  • Commitment to increasing alumni giving and participation of The Fuqua Annual Fund.
  • Have a clear understanding of the importance of The Fuqua Annual Fund to the school's mission and goals.
  • Comfortable with fundraising.
  • Be accessible to your Annual Fund staff liaison.
  • A current donor to The Fuqua Annual Fund.
