The Fuqua School of Business recognizes alumni contributions through two awards, the Alumni Impact Award and the Distinguished Service Award.
2010 Alumni Impact Award
Lisa Parker, Daytime MBA 1985
A past chair of Fuqua's Alumni Council, Lisa currently serves as Fuqua's MBA representative to the Duke Alumni Association Board of Directors. Through her work on the DAA Board, Lisa became involved with Duke Alums Engage, an initiative to connect alumni with community services projects in their area. Lisa brought this concept back to Fuqua with her idea to have a community service project as part of this year's reunion. Lisa also co-chaired her class's 25th Reunion Committee. In her professional role, Lisa has worked on initiatives domestically and throughout Europe, with clients in healthcare, consumer packaged products, measurement instrumentation, computer and printer technology, and building materials.
Paula Weiner, Daytime MBA 1985
Paula has willingly shared her expertise with Fuqua students and alumni over the years In addition to delivering multiple career workshops in 2009-10 - both in person and in webinar form - she helped create an inaugural series for Fuqua's Global Executive and Weekend Executive MBA students about the world of executive recruitment. Paul is president of an executive recruitment firm and has 18 years' experience in the search industry. Her clients include firms in diverse industries, including IT/media, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, and financial services.
The Alumni Impact Award was established in 2001 to recognize and honor individuals or teams who have bettered the school by investing their time and energy on a specific project. Award recipients' commitment to Fuqua is demonstrated by their willingness to work out unique solutions to create positive outcomes, and to take initiative to benefit the Fuqua community with their time, energy, and talents.

2010 Award for Exemplary Service
Alison Levine, Daytime MBA 2000
Since graduating in 2000, Alison has made a point to stay connected to Fuqua and Duke by using her influence and personal experience for the benefit of the School. Whether she is climbing Mount Everest, skiing to the geographic South Pole, or speaking at the Daytime student orientation, Alison proudly brings the Duke flag with her - literally. A true Leader of Consequence, Alison has served on the board of the Center on Leadership and Ethics, and in 2002 was the team captain of the first American Women's Everest Expedition. She currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Catherine Nelson, Daytime MBA 1985
Catherine has been engaged with the school for almost 30 years. She is a double Dukie, having graduated with a Bachelor's in economics from Duke, and a former member of Fuqua's Alumni Council. She . Catherine also has been a stalwart recruiter, working closely with Fuqua's Career Management Center staff to help prepare students for careers in consulting, and often speaks to students interested in the public-private sector. In addition, Catherine is an admired advocate of Fuqua in her professional role at Booz Allen Hamilton, continually reinforcing the value of a Duke MBA.
The Award for Exemplary Service was established in 1991 to recognize individuals who demonstrate their dedication to Fuqua by donating their time, energy, talents, or financial support and who build networks through class activities, regional programs, and initiatives within their corporation, and service to current students and faculty. Award recipients have led by example in showing others how to strengthen the bonds between the school and its alumni and corporate partners.
