With minimal interruption to your life and work, you will spend 19 intense months strengthening core business skills and engaging with faculty and students from a broad range of academic and applied backgrounds.
Program Features:
- All classes are delivered on Duke’s campus in Durham, NC.
- After a 1 week orientation, classes are held on alternating weekends on Fridays and Saturdays in Terms 1 - 5, with accommodations provided on Friday nights. Term 6 sessions are held on campus for 2 weeks with the remainder of the term completed online.
- Optional concentrations include Energy and Environment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, and Health Sector Management.
- Students can travel abroad to participate in a Global Academic Travel Experience (GATE).

Honor Code
All members of The Duke MBA community are governed by the Honor Code of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Incoming students receive extensive Honor Code training and participate in an Honor Code signing ceremony.
The Duke MBA curriculum prepares students to succeed in a continuously changing environment. This is accomplished through a rigorous approach that challenges students to adopt new modes of thinking and apply sophisticated analyses and decision processes in a variety of settings. The curriculum focuses on the development of knowledge across disciplines, with opportunities for students to focus their studies through elective courses and an optional concentration.
The curriculum was redesigned for the class beginning in June 2010 and the program is now delivered in 6 terms of approximately 3 months each. Students take 13 core courses, 4 electives, and have the option to complete a 2-course credit special project to earn an optional concentration.

Electives are taken during Term 6 and are taken jointly with Cross Continent MBA students. A number of electives are available, but vary from year to year. Below are examples from past years' electives:

Concentrations
A new offering to Weekend Executive students is the option to earn a concentration in several areas of business management. No matter your career path, your grounding in the principles and practices of general management coupled with a specialization will expand your career opportunities.
If you elect to pursue a concentration, you must complete at least 2 electives in Term 6 from an approved list for the concentration, as well as secure approval to engage in an independent elective project, which will be worth the equivalent of 2 courses. Your transcript will state the concentration you choose. The independent project will be completed in the optional Term 7, which will begin in December 2010 and end in March 2011. Concentration choices include the following options:
