Estimated Cost of Attendance 2010-2011
The annual Cost of Attendance (COA) includes both educational and living expenses based on nine months of off-campus housing in the Durham area. Tuition and fees are subject to change each year. The COA can be used to determine total financial aid eligibility. Download the printable 2010-2011 COA here. Download last year's 2009-2010 COA here.

MMS Association Fee is charged in full during the fall semester. Tuition, Health Fee, Graduate Activity Fee, and Graduate Recreational Fee are charged one-half of the total each semester (Fall/Spring).
* Student Medical Insurance Plan is required for all Fuqua MMS students and is charged during the fall semester. It can be waived if you have other health insurance coverage. International students with an F-1 or J-1 visa are required to purchase this student medical insurance plan. The cost of this medical insurance is determined by the various age ranges that are set for this plan. This medical insurance amount reflects the age range (under 24) that has the average age of a Fuqua MMS student. Please contact our Financial Aid Office if your Duke-sponsored Student Medical Insurance Plan cost is different from this amount. We will adjust your COA accordingly. The actual cost of the Student Medical Insurance Plan is established in late spring each year. The University Bursar’s Office provides additional information regarding student medical insurance with fall tuition statements.

Additional Considerations to Increase the Cost of Attendance

- Dependent Child Increase – Per student's request, we may increase an additional allowance per dependent child of $5000 (only considered for students whose dependent child(ren) are living with them during their studies at Fuqua).
- One-Time Computer Increase – Students must submit an invoice or quote for the price of the computer in order to receive this increase up to the $2500.
- Loan Fees – Loan fees may be factored into the cost of attendance on individual basis.
- Duke Student Health Insurance Family Coverage – This increase may be made to the cost of attendance when proof of coverage is presented to the Financial Aid Office.
